Central Operations Quality Manager (f/m/d)


PALFINGER stands for the most innovative, reliable and economical lifting solutions that are used in commercial vehicles, rail vehicles, bridge inspection devices and in the maritime sector. To strengthen our Team we are looking for a Central Operations Quality Manager (f/m/d).

The PALFINGER Operations Network consists of more than 30 plants in the five regions EMEA, NAM, LATAM, APAC, CIS and SEA. The individual regions are supported by Regional Quality Managers, who are the interface to the HSEQ Managers in the plants. As a Central Operations Quality Manager (f/m/d), you will provide technical and disciplinary leadership to the Regional Quality Managers in our five regions and report to our Vice President Process and Quality Management.

Your Tasks

  • Adapting quality standards for the regions, together with the Regional Quality Managers
  • Leadership of all Regional Quality Managers
  • Data analysis for the implementation of improvement measures across all regions
  • Installation of Q-circle meetings across all regions
  • Support in following up defined measures from audits, reviews and PDCA process
  • Auditing and roll-out of QA standards for the regions
  • Prioritising Q resources and Q projects together with the Regional Operation Officer
  • Manage cross-regional Q issues
  • Ensure that all relevant quality policies are understood, implemented and adhered to within the regions
  • Ensure that the local quality management system meets the requirements within the region in accordance with Group policies as well as norms and standards

Your Qualification

  • Several years of professional experience in quality management, experience in the field of construction machinery an advantage
  • Completed technical education / training at a technical college or university or correspondingly extensive professional experience
  • Knowledge of relevant production and assembly standards
  • Confident appearance towards external auditors and customers as well as communication and assertiveness skills
  • Leading agile teams in a matrix organization
  • International project experience
  • Ability to understand, communicate and manage complex issues
  •  Willingness to take on responsibility
  • Very good written and spoken English
  • Willingness to travel internationally

Minimum gross salary according to Austrian metal industry collective agreement is EUR 41.452,18. We are willing to overpay according to training and qualification.
