PALFINGER is looking for a Parts Customer Service Representative to join our team in Huntley, IL. In this role, you’ll support our customers by providing prompt, accurate assistance with their parts needs. You’ll report to the Regional Spare Parts Manager and be part of a team that values reliability and service.

Your Responsibilities

•    Respond to customer inquiries via phone calls, e-mails, fax, and walk-in customers regarding price and availability and advise customers on substitution parts as needed.
•    Ensure proper entry of received customer orders to confirm all required detail is present at time of order acceptance and communicate additional requirements to dealers when/where necessary.
•    Provide dealers with latest parts delivery status and shipping information and expedite back-ordered parts.
•    Educate customers on standing spare parts department, sales orders, and return policies.
•    Work with Service/Shop Manager/Vendors for required production support and provide parts application diagrams and photos when necessary.
•    Exhibit basic knowledge of PALFINGER warranty policies.
•    May manage credit card transactions for parts purchases and communicate credit limits with customers.
•    Adhere to company policies and procedures with respect to conduct and department operations.
 

Your Qualifications

•    Five (5) years’ experience in an industrial product’s spare parts sales environment.
•    High School Diploma or equivalent.
•    Diploma/certification in a technical field or Customer Service preferred.
•    Knowledge and understanding of spare parts operations within dealer parts and service department levels.
•    Customer service mindset to provide the best available solutions and to effectively communicate with dealer staff through questions and concerns.
•    Mechanical experience/knowledge is preferred.
•    Knowledge of Microsoft Office with ability to utilize Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.
