Your responsibilities:

  • Develop system concepts up to series production and defining the virtually/physical validation method
  • Coordinate cooperation/interface with external engineering companies and other international Palfinger Technical centers
  • Interface with manufacturing and/or supplier to optimize manufacturability and cost (design to cost, design for manufacturing)
  • Perform analytical calculations, FEM stress simulations and FEM-based fatigue strength calculation as part of product development and documentation as crane statics calculations
  • Develop 3D model and corresponding design drawings

Your qualifications:

  • Graduation of a higher technical education (TU, FH) in mechanical engineering or similar
  • Experience in the design and construction of steel components (Creo)
  • Experience in finite element-based calculation of steel components and fatigue strength assessment (ANSYS mechanical Workbench, FEMFAT, FKM-WELD, AutoFena)
  • Good written and spoken German and English
  • Reliable and self-employed way of working within a team driven

Minimum gross salary according to Austrian metal industry collective agreement is EUR 60.000 per year. We are willing to overpay according to education and qualification.
