Grow with PALFINGER as a Production Planner and play a vital role in the success of our manufacturing operations. In this position, you will develop and manage production schedules, balance capacity and demand, and coordinate with supply chain, operations, and quality teams to keep workflows running efficiently at our Cerritos, CA location. Your strong attention to detail and ability to anticipate challenges will help ensure every product meets PALFINGER’s high standards and is delivered on time, every time.

  

Your Responsiblities

Develop and manage daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on forecasts and orders.

Coordinate with supply chain and operations to ensure material availability and resource efficiency.

Monitor production capacity, identify potential delays, and adjust schedules as needed.

Track key metrics like on-time delivery and schedule adherence.

Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste.

  

Your Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience).

5+ years in production planning or scheduling within manufacturing.

Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, SAGE, or Dynamics) and Excel.

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) and Lean/Six Sigma experience preferred.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement territory strategies for increasing sales and profits of PAL Pro mechanics bodies and PSC service cranes.  
  • Position PALFINGER to be a preferred supplier to key customers.
  • Prospect for new business and grow sales, develop key customer relationships.
  • Develop a territory business plan for key sales channels in the territory, achieve company sales targets for the territory.
  • In-service sold units and conduct basic product training for customers.
  • Develop detailed product and application knowledge of the PALFINGER service cranes and mechanics bodies as well as competitive brands.
  • Work closely with PALFINGER team members in all departments, including manufacturing, operations, engineering, sales, marketing, service, production scheduling, upfitting and company management.  
  • Adhere to company guidelines, policies and procedures for safety and compliance.

Your Qualifications

  • High school or GED expected minimum. 7-10 years’ experience in the truck equipment industry / crane industry.  Background in selling upfitted equipment a plus.
  • Experience in developing vertical market/customer segment growth strategies. Strong communication skills, proficient in presenting and demonstrating.
  • Experience and desire to execute the full life cycle sales process. A track record of sales leadership and accomplishment.
  • Desire to learn and provide a consultative approach to selling.
  • Strong technical acumen and ability to learn technical specifications.
  • Teamwork and collaborative approach with customers and internal PALFINGER team.
  • Ability to forecast and report on sales funnel, use of a CRM system.
