Work includes designing and programming PLC software for a wide range of advanced offshore and marine equipment and requires collaboration with cross-functional teams. Examples are software development for our product portfolio or development of new products such as control systems for remote operation or simulators. Support to commissioning and service teams is critical when working with advanced equipment, and some traveling may be required.

The position is mainly considered for experienced engineers ready to contribute, but junior candidates with the correct background, drive and ability to learn quickly are encouraged to apply and may be considered for junior positions.

Your responsibilities

  • Design and development of control systems for cranes, winches and access equipment.
  • Participation in the development of software for remotely controlled offshore cranes including design of OT networks and cyber security.
  • HMI / UX development
  • Preparation of test documents and operating instructions
  • Test, commissioning and service support

Your qualifications

  • Automation/Mechatronics/Software Engineer with MSc or BSc
  • Experience in programming of PLC and HMI/SCADA systems. Working with Siemens system (TIA Portal) is an advantage
  • Experience in preparation and commissioning frequency drives
  • Experience with OT networks and cyber security
  • Experience with motion compensated equipment is an advantage
