This role will be focused on Raw Material and Drawing Parts and will be based in Council Bluffs, IA, Oklahoma City, OK, or Schaumburg, IL, and report directly to the Director of Procurement for North America.
Your Responsibilities

Lead the North American sourcing strategy for raw materials and steel-related parts, driving cost, quality, and technology improvements through global market benchmarking.

Identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers while negotiating contracts and pricing to strengthen our competitive position.

Achieve targeted cost savings and implement sourcing group strategies, with regular reviews to ensure ongoing effectiveness.

Establish and manage performance-based supplier contracts, KPIs, and compliance, ensuring alignment with internal stakeholder needs.

Champion sourcing best practices and continuous improvement initiatives, including supplier-managed inventory and year-over-year cost reductions.
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor degree (or equivalent) in engineering with strong commercial mindset
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a strategic sourcing in an international manufacturing company (preferably truck/ automobile manufacturing with focus in raw material and steel parts)
- Proven capability in cost analysis
- General experience in a manufacturing environment (transformation & assembly)
- Proficient in MS Office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; SAP knowledge is preferred
- Willingness to travel frequently within USA, Mexico, and Canada with occasional international travel to Europe. Ability to travel up to 35%.
