Join our team at PALFINGER! As a Tester, you'll conduct final manual and automated equipment tests on various product cranes to ensure functionality, quality, and safety components meet product-specific requirements. This role is based at our Niagara Falls, ON facility.
Your Responsibilties
- Perform functional testing of cranes and install accessories according to PNorms and Palcheck guidelines, ensuring all quality and technical specifications are met.
- Diagnose and repair problems, report issues to Team Leads, and assist in coordinating production requirements and deficiencies.
- Train employees on troubleshooting, operation, and safety procedures, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Communicate with Team Leads, drive improvement initiatives, and participate in daily inspections, 6S audits, and health & safety activities.
- Inspect products from the assembly line, provide feedback to facility leadership, and engage in continuous improvement activities.
Your Qualifications
- High school diploma required, with technical training in mechanical, electrical, or hydraulics preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical, electrical, or hydraulics, with prior experience in assembly, manufacturing, or lifting equipment preferred.
- Proficient in multiple work centers and product lines, with strong communication, leadership, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and self-motivated, with a familiarization of quality and lean manufacturing practices.
- Must speak, read, and write English, and be able to sit, stand, bend, squat, reach, and lift 50 lbs. Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office products required.
