PALFINGER is searching for an experienced Welder. This position is located in Trenton, NJ. This position reports to the Install Supervisor. The Welder is responsible for performing welding needs in assigned areas of installation to support the welding requirements for mounting truck equipment safely and efficiently to specification following proper welding guidelines.

Your Responsibilities

Use and read measuring, squaring and leveling instruments within 1/16”.
Able to use hand and power tools which may include: welding clamps, vise grips, square, wire cutters, scrapers, hammers, impact guns etc.
Able to properly use and maintain MIG Welding equipment and oxy/acetylene and carbon arc cutting equipment.
Reads and understands drawing specifications, and instructions according to Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
Efficiently and safely welds sub-assemblies, assemblies and welding needs to mount truck equipment.

Your Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), 2-3 years welding training/experience and a Mechanical background.

Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to update job-related documentation. Ability to effectively present information one-on-one to other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Physical Demands

Employee is required to walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; bend; kneel and climb. The employee must safely lift and move up to 60 pounds on a daily basis.
