Innovative Marine Technologies, that make a difference
From September 3 to 6, PALFINGER MARINE presented its latest products at the Shipbuilding, Machinery and Marine Technology Fair (SMM) in Hamburg. The trade fair stand featured interactive elements and was the ideal platform for that. With new solutions, the company is strengthening its position as the world's leading partner for reliable deck equipment and lifesaving appliances.
The introduction of PALFINGER MARINE’s heavy-duty foldable knuckle boom crane, the PFM 2100, was met with great interest at the SMM 2024. Thanks to its patented P-Profile, it features an impressive maximum load capacity and outreach. The latest models in the revised PK generation boast significantly more power due to an optimized pivot cylinder design, making them another focus of visitor interest. The P-TELB series of fully enclosed lifeboats, which sets new standards in the industry in terms of safety and capacity, rounded off the portfolio of PALFINGER MARINE’s newly launched solutions.
Hands-on technology
The PALFINGER MARINE exhibition stand also offered visitors the opportunity to experience some products up close. The PK 25.001 M crane at the center of the stand captivated especially many visitors due to its robust construction and versatile range of applications. This fully foldable knuckle boom crane is the latest development in the PK pivot cylinder series. A scale model of the FRSQ 850 A DC fast rescue boat including the PRH 75 AP hydraulic A-frame davit were also on display, underlining PALFINGER MARINE's safety expertise. Interactive elements such as a large touchscreen providing detailed insights into the company and the product portfolio, as well as a claw machine, made for a lively interactive experience.
Focus on interaction
The opportunity to connect and network was another important aspect of the show. Both at the trade fair stand and at an exclusive customer event, visitors exchanged ideas with members of the executive board and product experts at PALFINGER. “PALFINGER MARINE is a cornerstone of our strategic vision, driving innovation and excellence across all regions. The interest in our products, our solutions and our service on site showed once again that we are on the right track to further strengthen our position as a leader in the maritime industry,” says Andreas Klauser, CEO at PALFINGER, and emphasizes: “As the most important trade fair for our marine segment, the SMM was an ideal platform for us to showcase our state-of-the-art solutions, share insights and explore new partnership possibilities.”
