PFM 2100: best-in-class model
With the PFM 2100, PALFINGER MARINE presents its newest model and latest addition to the PFM crane series – an agile and versatile solution that was developed specifically for the aquaculture industry, focusing on the fish farming segment as well as the service and workboat sector. With a maximum outreach of over 29 meters and a lifting capacity of 4,000 kilograms at full extension, it is designed to combine outreach, precision, and strength. Its lightweight but durable structure – combined with a high-end control valve – enables fast and efficient operations. In addition, it is the first model in the PFM series to feature the patented P-profile with nine boom extensions – for maximum efficiency in every movement.
The PFM 2100 belongs to the PFM heavy-duty foldable knuckle boom crane series, which includes the well-established PFM 2500, PFM 3500, and PFM 4500 units that have proven reliable in field use over many years. Thanks to this range of models, PALFINGER MARINE is able to offer customized crane packages consisting of two or more coordinated models. This results in system solutions that are precisely tailored to specific requirements. The combination of fast high-outreach cranes and even stronger powerhouse models creates an ideal synergy that allows even complex maritime operations to be carried out efficiently. Offshore Passenger Transfer System: safe and efficient
With its 3D-compensated Offshore Passenger Transfer System (OPTS), PALFINGER MARINE is setting new standards for transporting people and cargo safely and efficiently between a ship and a fixed offshore structure. The system was developed specifically for demanding operating conditions and is ideal for maintenance work, operating semi-submersible installations, or decommissioning projects.
The OPTS is currently in the prototype phase: extensive in-house testing of the first unit started in March and will be followed by offshore trials until the end of 2025. The system is available in two versions – as a mobile, flexible solution or as a permanently integrated deck installation on a vessel – and therefore covers a wide range of maritime requirements.
